Like its matching front headlight, the rear knog boomer is plenty bright. VERY visible, even at high noon in broad summer daylight (now that's saying something!). There are multiple flash settings, which is nice. Couldn't really figure out how to fit it on my bicycle, so I've been keeping it attached to the seat post- could be a problem if you have a rear bike bag attached there (I use a messenger bag). Only takes a few hours to charge up bright, flashes once during shut down when the battery is low to let you know. Love the USB rechargeable- worked for 10 hours straight out of the box (on constant light, since its been dark and rainy the past week or so). Good little light, makes me feel safe riding even on a rainy evening. As always, completely water proof. Sensitive enough to turn on and off even through gloves, but again, wouldn't recommend throwing it in your bag with other things since it might flick on. No problems with maintaining its mode, even on rough patches, if inserted...
